Goodbrand Plastics produce high quality, custom-made plastic components that have been engineered to meet the specific needs of multiple industries. We are the experts that will deliver the product you need, in a timely manner, at a competitive price.
Goodbrand Plastics has a 30 year heritage in providing specialised products to a wide range of industries, ranging from consumer goods to construction materials.
The longstanding success and growth of our company is based on our excellent reputation as reliable suppliers of high quality plastic components at competitive prices.
Since we commenced trading in Congleton, Cheshire in 1982, we have continued to expand both the size of our company and the range of products we produce. Due to steady and continued growth Goodbrand Plastics found it necessary to relocate to new purpose built premises on the Springvale Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Sandbach, Cheshire in 1997.
The main factory operates from a 5,000 square foot purpose built unit with a secondary 3,500 square foot warehouse in which raw materials and finished goods are securely stored.
In 1999 Goodbrand Plastics was acquired by Technical Service Consultants Limited, Europe's leading manufacturer of microbiological consumables.
Today, Goodbrand Plastics specialise in components for the medical and IVD market. Our expertise, versatility, experience and technology allows us to also cater for a diverse range of industries, from automotive to electronics. We can, and do, supply batch quantities from 250 parts to over 750,000 on a regular basis.
We continue to exceed our customers' expectations and take great pride in the service and products we deliver. We look forward to continued growth and are excited about our potential to expand our customer base even further in the future.
With some plastics being hygroscopic, pre-drying of the raw materials prior to the processing is paramount. We have a range of dryers designed to remove the surplus moisture from the granules.
If this is not done, or done incorrectly, the surface finish of the product will be impaired but more importantly the strength of the product will be severely compromised.
Once mouldings have been manufactured from correctly dried material, they must be allowed enough time to re-absorb the moisture back. Until the moisture has been put back, the part will be extremely brittle and unsuitable for testing, assembly, turning etc. This is just one instance of having knowledge and experience when dealing with a variety of plastics and processing conditions.
In addition, each plastic injection moulding machine is equipped with its own hopper loader for material conveyance. A range of conveyors fitted to the relevant machines will collect the parts and transfer them to their allocated area or packaging medium.
Component design, injection moulding tool design and manufacture are achieved using our approved suppliers with whom we have forged a close working alliance with. Tooling may be manufactured in either the UK or the Far East depending upon your preference.
Goodbrand Plastics Plastic Injection Moulding facilities utilise a range of Boy and Biraghi, plastic injection moulding machines with sizes varying from 22 tonnes up to 150 tonnes, some of which are integrated with CNC robots.
As and when required, tool heaters will be used to produce a quality, aesthetically pleasing product.
We are experienced and reliable producers of specialised products for industries ranging from consumer products to construction materials. Our expertise, versatility and technology allows us to cater for a diverse range of industrial sectors. We can, and do, supply batch quantities from as little as 250 parts to over 750,000 on a regular basis. We also welcome the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with potential customers who might need support in taking the next step towards production of their product.
Working with a range of partners, we can help you with tool design and component optimisation.
We know that sometimes waiting 6-8 weeks isn't an option - we have the capacity and flexibility to deliver in a timely manner.
Some projects only require a small volume of components. While other suppliers may only be prepared to run thousands of impressions, we will work to deliver the quantity you actually need.
We understand the complex regulatory requirements you may face with production of medical devices and IVDs. Our experience can help you navigate complex compliance regulations.
Although plastic injection moulding is our main activity, we are flexible enough to offer secondary operations such as assembly or sub assembly which cuts down on handling operations of parts. In addition we can provide pad printing where required.
Using our plastic injection moulding expertise, Goodbrand Plastics manufacture a comprehensive range of medical and IVD plastic components and products used in microbiology.
Details of purchases for any of the medical or IVD products can be found by going onto our head office website.
